Lectors

The ministry of a lector is a special service in the Church through which a person proclaims the Word of God during liturgical celebrations, especially at Mass. A lector is entrusted with reading the Sacred Scriptures, helping the faithful listen attentively to God's message and deepen their understanding of His Word.

Being a lector is more than simply reading aloud; it is a ministry of faith, commitment, and service. A lector should prepare prayerfully, understand the Scripture readings, and proclaim them clearly, reverently, and with confidence. Through this ministry, the lector becomes an instrument through which God speaks to His people, inspiring them to live according to His Word.

A lector's mission is to proclaim God's Word with faith, share it with love, and live it through daily actions.

Schedules at our parish - Lectors at the 8:30 am weekday Mass are generally assigned one day per week for a 2-month period. We aim for the best fit for everyone.
